After we’re married, we will live in Anton’s loft. It’s a wonderful place in a converted 1917 school building but could use a little more work to make it suitable for two. So instead of a normal registry (à la Macy's china and Crate & Barrel place mats), we're giving our friends and family the option of contributing to our renovation projects. Think barn raising gone high tech. We love the idea of having your help in creating our home beyond vases and towels. You'll be an important part of the home we are building together - both literally and figuratively! The project focuses on creating some privacy for us and our visitors by altering the bathroom entrance and creating a divider between rooms where there currently isn’t one. While we're at it, we'll add a closet and replace the furnace. If you're interested in a an item, click its "select" button and it will be added to a PayPal shopping cart, where you can purchase it safely with a credit card if you want. And there's no tax or shipping or anything. |
Blueprints It turns out that the blue prints provided for the loft were the wishful thinking of the developer and not actually what ended up being built, so we need to have new ones created.
Electrical Outlets We're modern folks.
Light Fixtures To help us see where the new walls are. May prove useful even after that!
Doorknobs Help us open the new doors.
Closet The loft doesn't have a single closet so, as it is, Dawn’s clothes would have to lay in piles on the floor. Really, really big piles.
Furnace Two words: Cold concrete. Plenty of it. The furnace we've got is loud and inefficient.

Paint Raw concrete can be really beautiful, but there's a limit to our appreciation of the color gray. It's time to add some color to this joint!
Bathroom Door What's a bathroom without a little privacy, really?
Bathroom Mirror for Two Because a family that flosses together something-important-that-rhymes-with-flosses together.
New Shower Head Current one reminds us a bit too much of the misty San Francisco fog.
